Guided Meditations for Anxiety and Stress Relief
Finding Calm Through Guided Meditations
I love using simple guided meditations in my counseling practice, often as part of anxiety therapy and trauma work. These practices can support the nervous system between sessions and complement EMDR therapy or ongoing counseling, often as a way to start or end a session. I’ve recorded some of these short practices for your independent use whenever you need grounding, calm, or a reset.
Introduction & Preparation - This short audio will help you prepare for meditation, setting aside distractions and creating a calm, comfortable space. It’s a gentle starting point to help you settle in and get the most from your practice.
Peaceful Place - In this meditation, I’ll guide you through imagining a safe, peaceful place where you feel grounded and centered. This practice can become an anchor to return to whenever life feels overwhelming.
Progressive Muscle Relaxation - This meditation invites you to release tension from head to toe by gently relaxing each muscle group. It’s a simple but powerful way to increase body awareness, reduce stress, and find deeper calm.
